Your business


Business Banking offer a complete range of transaction, lending, and trading solutions, along with tailored offerings for over 1 million small and medium businesses; regional and agribusinesses; and mid-to-large corporates.

You will be part of the Business Bank's Performance Chapter Area and Crew Leadership Team.

The Performance Chapter is responsible for ensuring that the CBA Bank has the strategy and processes in place to deliver the Group's vision and enable our ambitions.


Your role


As a Performance Chapter Lead, you will act as a trusted partner and advisor to your Technology and Crew Lead within the Line of Business (Domain), as well as for your Domain.

You will ensure alignment of the crew's outcomes and metrics to the overall strategy of the crew and 3-year plan and unleash maximum potential.

You will also be a people leader for members within your area, providing development and coaching.


Your Impact
You will be part of the CommSec crews.

You will oversee their strategic agenda and track their activities against the implementation of strategy, planning and operations, financial management, workforce management, and risk management.

You will also play a critical Domain role, partnering with the Domain leadership around PACE ways of working and quarterly planning.

You will also provide people leadership and management for a number of direct reports and contribute to the capability uplift of others.


More specifically you will lead the following for your Crew and, where relevant, Domain:

Quarterly / annual planning:


  • Lead the annual and quarterly planning cycle to achieve business outcomes and efficiency for your Crew and Domain, including key ceremonies and cadences
  • Act as a conduit across teams to ensure information flow, commitments can be delivered and escalation of risks, issues and dependencies
  • Drive Governance reporting requirements including milestones, financials, PACE operating metrics and risks and providing insights.
  • Lead the guidance on tools and techniques centralised operational procedures and tools are streamlined and consistent across all teams including KPI's, delivery and Strategic Planning Process.

Performance uplift (faster, simpler, better):

  • Track metrics against stated objectives and key results
  • Deep dive and provide meaningful insights on business and delivery performance
  • Determine and execute interventions to uplift capability and performance
  • Manage high complexity and change, solve problems, manage senior/broad stakeholder relationships and operate with an enterprise mindset.

Drive workforce and financial management:

  • Develop and maintain a workforce strategy, with considerations to cost, geographical mix, job family mix, and skillset requirements
  • Forecasts, budgets, actuals and reconciliation.

People management:


  • Evaluate, promote, coach, and develop Chapter members
  • Drive best practice approach within and across the Chapter partnering with Agility Coaches & Product Owners

Your Skills and Experience:


  • A strategic thinker, problemsolver who thrives in a fastpaced, dynamic environment with background in strategy, program delivery, finance, or consulting highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing data and performance, and dissecting metrics.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels, including ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Resultsdriven mindset with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent financial management skills to ensure tracking and monitoring is accurate and maintained at all times.
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management in complex environments adhering to compliance obligations and developing 'risk resilient' cultures.
  • Experience working in financial services industry and consulting preferred.
