The Opportunity

  • This National Sales Manager position will lead and manage sales operations throughout Australia. As the National Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing 8 direct report sales staff and supporting 5 dealers operating in smaller states.
  • Sales Team Management: Lead, motivate, and activate a team of 8 direct sales staff, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Dealer Network Management: Oversee and support 5 dealers operating in smaller states, nurturing strong relationships, and ensuring alignment with the company's sales objectives.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to achieve and exceed sales targets, expand market share, and maximize revenue.
  • Customer Focus: Develop a deep understanding of the needs of children with profound disabilities, particularly cerebral palsy. Ensure products and services meet these requirements and establish strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations departments to ensure a seamless and customer-centric approach across all functions.

  • Performance Metrics: Track and analyse sales performance metrics, generate timely reports, and present data to senior management. Utilise datadriven insights to optimize sales performance.
  • Training and Development: Design and conduct sales training programs to equip the sales team and dealers with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed.

Experience & Skills needed

  • Bachelor degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, in medical devices, managing and leading sales teams, with a track record of activating sales teams to succeed.
  • Strong emotional intelligence (EQ) and empathy towards children with profound disabilities and their families. Experience working with assistive technology or products for children with disabilities is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Proficiency in using MS Dynamics CRM (or similar) as a point of sales tool and generating reports for sales and territory analysis.
  • Demonstrated success in sales performance and meeting/exceeding targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Interstate Travel: Be willing to travel approximately 30% of the time, mostly interstate, to support direct sales in NSW, VIC, SE Queensland, and the dealer network.
