About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Project Lead to join the Rio Tinto Team in Perth.

This role will work a Monday to Friday roster in Perth in their Sustaining Capital Department with Adhoc travel to their Marandoo site.

This role will cover multi-disciplinary projects across fixed plant, mine operations and tailings infrastructure.

Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety and environmental performance.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure the safe delivery of projects from pre-feasibility, through feasibility and into implementation;
Assure conformance to RTIO technical standards, project schedule and cost, accommodation forecasting, quality and HSE management systems;
Review, implement and communicate all project plans, documents, stage gate presentations and TQs / RFIs;
Ensure all site construction activities are delivered in line with approved scope of works and technical standards;
Manage effective stakeholders engagement across various divisions, external and third party relationships throughout the project phases;
Track project status and provide clear project reports and /or updates to project team and key stakeholders


Skills & Experience Required:

Mechanical / Civil / Tailings infrastructure experience will be beneficial;
Project management experience for large scale mining, heavy industries and oil and gas Clients;
Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in schedule and cost management;
Excellent communication skills with an ability to build positive and trusting relationships across a wide range of stakeholders;
Excellent stakeholder management skills across various multi-disciplinary streams;
Current C Class Australian Licence
