About the role:


Join Cleanaway's Centre for Sustainability (C4S) to work with our customers to reach their Sustainability Goals, increase landfill diversion and highlight Resource Recovery opportunities.


Reporting to the Senior Education Officer within our Commercial and Industrial arm of C4S, you will be involved in auditing, conducting site assessments, waste education and more.

This role does involve some infrequent travel depending on projects.

  • Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:_
  • Evaluate and optimize waste diversion strategies to maximize resource recovery.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their waste streams, sustainability goals, and operational constraints.
  • Conduct waste audits to assess the composition of waste streams and identify opportunities for recovery.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for clients and internal teams on resource recovery best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports on resource recovery program performance and outcomes.

About you:


  • Tertiary qualified in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or other relevant fields.
  • Strong knowledge of the waste and recycling industry.
  • Prior auditing experience is desirable.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Valid Driver's License.
