Our client is an iconic Australian brand and leader within the fashion retail space.


This is an amazing opportunity is for an experienced HRBP or People & Culture Manager to join the People & Culture team to partner with the retail team and drive and lead strategic initiatives.


About the Role


As the People & Culture Manager (retail) you will work closely alongside the People & Culture Director to lead the business in delivering the global strategy.

You will support business areas including global retail, wholesale and brand throughout the entire employee lifecycle from end to end.

This role provides exciting opportunities to further develop and expand your career in HR by playing a key part in major business projects, partnering closely with senior leadership teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide people related support, advice, coaching and leadership across retail, wholesale and brand
  • Empower leaders and managers to deliver effective people management practices
  • When required, conduct end to end disciplinary processes
  • Manage the employee lifecycle from beginning to end including attraction & onboarding, training & development, engagement, performance and employee relations, reward and benefits, policy and procedures
  • Lead and manage the development of workforce planning and talent management practices
  • Support leaders in major organisational change
  • Support key people and business projects

This role is full time with the opportunity to work 2 days from home and one day in their office based in Sydney CBD close to Town Hall.

The Ideal People & Culture Manager

  • Has significant experience in an HR Business Partner or Manager role.
  • Retail experience is essential.
  • Displays experience working alongside senior stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Has strong decision making, influencing and problem solving skills.
  • Is a confident communicator and stays calm and balanced under pressure.
  • Can manage a busy and varied workload, meeting deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Has a strong understanding of employment law and experience interpreting Awards.
  • Acts with integrity and confidentiality.
