About the role:


An excellent opportunity is available for a motivated individual to join a small, close-knit HR team that supports more than 600 staff who are passionately committed to researching the way the brain works.


The role entails performing operational HR activities focussed primarily on the employee life cycle including recruitment, creation of employment contracts, onboarding new employees, compliance, employee record management and reporting.


To thrive in this position, you will need strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently through multiple HR information systems (HRIS).


Our two HR Coordinators work collaboratively to:

  • Support the HR Business Partners in executing HR processes across the employee life cycle
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers to resolve lowlevel inquiries and issues
  • Assign and monitor elearning compliance training as required
  • Prepare and issue employment contracts and new starter documentation, and followup with employees and managers
  • Provide system support and troubleshooting for staff and managers

This position is a fixed term, full-time, parental leave cover and expecting to end in January 2025.

This role attracts an annual salary offer ranging from Higher Education Worker 6 -1 (HEW 6-1) $80,583 to Higher Education Worker 6-2 (HEW 6-2) $82,194 commensurate with experience.

About you:


  • Relevant degree in HR or related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in performing administrative tasks within an HR function
  • Knowledge or experience using learning management systems, erecruit systems and HRIS
  • Strong experience working with a high degree of autonomy, without direct supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
