We are looking for a Mobile Crane Supervisor to join our team in Australasia on a permanent basis with FIFO opportunities to PNG on even time rosters.
The main Responsibility of the Mobile Crane Supervisor is to carry out repairs, inspection and testing of mobile cranes adhering to OEM specifications, Australian Standards and to client specific requirements.
Main responsibilities
All aspects of day-to-day maintenance services including:
- Repairs, inspections and testing of cranes and other equipment
- Electrical, hydraulic and mechanical fault finding
- Complete reports and any site work instructions
- Supervision of personnel where applicable
- Represent the company and ensure high level of customer satisfaction through effective customer service and technical assistance
- Drive Sparrows' Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Systems
- Mentoring and training of local mechanics.
HSEQ responsibilities
- It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with the Company's HSEQ Policy and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Sparrows Integrated Management System. The incumbent must report any incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems to their Line Manager.
- The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under countryspecific health and safety legislation to follow all Company processes and procedures and familiarise themselves with the emergency response arrangements applicable to them. The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.
Qualifications and experience
The following skills, qualifications and experience are essential:
- Experience in crane inspections and maintenance
- Trade certificate (hydraulic and/or mechanical)
- Thorough knowledge of applicable Australian Standards
- Communicate effectively and in a professional manner with staff at all levels, as well as clients.
- Fluent in Written and Spoken English
- Good Understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Respond effectively to demands of a high and varied workload and changing job priorities.
Preferred skills, qualifications, and experience:
- Previous experience within the mobile crane industry
