The Role


Mineral Resources Warehouse and Logistics are expanding, we're seeking an experience Freight Coordinator to support the planning and coordination of general/project freight transport via the Perth Distribution Centre.


You will be responsible with reviewing, amending and approving transport request forms, following COR procedures, networking with internal and external stakeholders.

Using the new Bustle system, coordination of freight movements to and from sites.


For this position you will be reporting directly through to the Logistics Specialist and be based at our High Wycombe Distribution Centre.


Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with all stakeholders, internal and external to ensure the timely movement of all materials and equipment.
  • Ensure the receipt and dispatch of priority and shut down freight is timely, cost effective and that end users are advised of updates on requests.
  • Validate and process freight provider invoice claims relating directly to the DC and those invoice claims external to the DC i.e. site related directed transactions with the same providers.
  • Oversee manifests before departure to ensure effective trailer utilisation and prioritise accordingly.
  • Ensure all shipments comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and other transport regulations both WA and National.
  • Accurately input, monitor and report on data collected in relation to trailer utilisation and schedule advising of improvements and ideas.
  • Review quote requests for transport bookings to ensure they are both cost effective and take into consideration end user required delivery dates.

What you'll bring to the team

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar role in the Freight/ Logistics environment
  • Proven knowledge of matters relating to logistics
  • Sound Knowledge of ERP systems ad transport booking software
  • Experience working with CoR and road legislation in relation to freight transport
  • Highly reliable, energetic and a problem solving mindset
  • Demonstrated organisational skills in complex environments
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Manual drivers' licence
