The Hospital:


This is Australia's second oldest hospital opening in 1804, and is a major clinical teaching and research centre working closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions.

The hospital provides acute, sub acute, mental health and aged care inpatient and ambulatory services to a population of about 240,000 people and has 550 physical beds, including 460 acute overnight and 90 day beds.


The Role:

Our client is seeking interest from a suitably qualified applicants for Staff Specialist (Paediatrics) vacancy.

The State's tertiary referral centre and is also the primary teaching hospital for the University of Tasmania School of Medicine.

The Department of Women's, Adolescent and Children's Services has Staff Specialists with a range of clinical, teaching and research interests and experience.

This is a supportive, coherent and highly functioning team which is motivated to meet the service needs of the community.

The Requirements:


  • The FRACP
  • Have had your specialist training assessed by the RACP and have been found to be substantially comparable.
