The City of Sydney is seeking a skilled and motivated Production Assistant to join the Major Events and Festivals team
:

The Major Events and Festivals team delivers the City's Cultural Plan through a series of large scale, major public and cultural events including Sydney New Year's Eve, Sydney Lunar Festival, Sydney Christmas, Art & About, Sydney Streets and Capital Works launch events.

The primary purpose of the position is to provide effective support to relevant Managers and Coordinators to enable the successful delivery of event technical, operational, logístical, production and creative outcomes.

You will have qualifications and/or previous experience in major event production, and in the provision of administrative, operational, production, technical and logístical support within a dynamic team environment.

You will possess well-developed written and oral communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and interact on key activities and sensitive issues.

The Production Assistant will contribute to a team culture that is creative, courageous, resilient and adaptive to change, with a commitment to good governance and public benefit.

You will possess maturity, discretion, sound judgement and the capacity to act autonomously, with demonstrated experience working in a high performing, collaborative team.

The successful applicant is required to complete a pre-employment health declaration.
