Position Information

Chatswood High School (enrolment around 1800 students, including approximately 79% from a non-English speaking background) is a partially selective co-educational school located on Sydney's north shore with a strong commitment to academic excellence.

The school has two Selective classes from Years 7-10, a Gifted and Talented class Years 7-10, mainstream enrolments who are our local students, as well as four classes in our Support Unit for students diagnosed with autism and intellectual disabilities.

Offering a diverse curriculum, there is a strong emphasis on quality teaching and maximising student success.

Chatswood High School is currently undergoing a redevelopment project with major refurbishment and new buildings.

Specific Selection Criteria

Approval to teach French Years 7 to 1
Highly developed interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability in building a culture of high expectations and strong relationships with staff, students, parents, and the wider community to support student outcomes.
Demonstrated capacity and commitment to developing innovative, engaging teaching programs and assessments to meet the individual needs of a diverse student body.
Proven capacity to integrate ICT to create a dynamic language curriculum.
