Service Victoria is an Administrative Office attached to the Department of Government Services (DGS).

DGS was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government.

Service Victoria and DGS are bringing important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses.

About the role
The Procurement Officer will support the Procurement team in tracking and maintaining systematic approaches to the acquisition of a variety of services to Service Victoria
Key accountabilities
The key responsibilities of the Procurement Officer will include:

  • Assisting in preparing procurement documentation
  • Liaising with vendors to ensure that relevant procurement contractual obligations are being met to agreed service standards.
  • Preparing reports to summarise procurement activity.
  • Maintaining the procurement register and assisting with keeping the contract management system up to date.
  • Undertaking records management activities to ensure good governance and compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the invoice payment process
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
Specialist/Technical Expertise

  • Experience in procurement processes.
  • Strong administrative analytical and numerical skills
  • Attention to detail and compliance with government procurement process requirements.
  • Ability to work in a collegiate, dynamic, small team, and working independently to deliver work on time.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and contribute to the success of a team.
  • Willingness to work in a digitalfirst, paperless office environment.
