Rates:
$60 an hour
Overview:
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Maintenance Fitters and Apprentices during the day shift.
This role requires a Maintenance Supervisor who can work a combination of hands-on and hands-off supervision, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of various machinery, including conveyors, shredders, granulators, and cracker mills.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of Maintenance Fitters and Apprentices, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize machinery performance and minimize downtime.
- Implement and promote 5s and lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Utilize your experience as a Maintenance Fitter with a trade qualification to provide technical expertise and support to the team.
- Work closely with brand new machinery, actively participating in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance plans and strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, incorporating new technologies and best practices into maintenance operations.
- Assist in the planning and execution of future investments in machinery, worth $3 million
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter or relevant field.
- Familiarity with conveyors, shredders, granulators, and cracker mills is highly desirable.
- Experience working with brand new machinery is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Proficiency in implementing 5s and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
