The Company


Our client has worked with some of Australia's biggest retailers, assisting them with return of investment technology, and are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator.

This full time, permanent role will be based in Braeside, and you will be reporting to the General Manager.


Purpose of job


The Supply Chain Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and products through the supply chain process.

This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

The Supply Chain Coordinator works closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to optimize inventory levels, coordinate shipments, and resolve any issues that may arise.


Duties and Responsibilities

Inventory Management:


  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability to meet customer demands.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to place orders with suppliers and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile any discrepancies.

Order Processing and Tracking:


  • Receive and process customer orders, ensuring accurate documentation and timely order fulfilment.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to arrange shipments and track the movement of goods.
  • Communicate order status and updates to customers, sales teams, and other relevant stakeholders.

Supplier Management:


  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including delivery reliability, quality of products, and adherence to contractual agreements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.

Logistics Coordination:


  • Coordinate the transportation and logistics activities, including scheduling shipments, selecting carriers, and optimizing routes.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and coordinate customs clearance processes.
  • Monitor and track the movement of goods, ensuring ontime delivery.

Data Analysis and Reporting:


  • Collect, analyze, and report supply chain data, including key performance indicators (KPIs), inventory levels, and delivery metrics.
  • Identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Generate regular reports for management and stakeholders to support decisionmaking.

Continuous Improvement:


  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction within the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement improvements and best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations affecting the supply chain.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supply chain coordination, logistics, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and transportation.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures is a plus.
