About the role:

Perform Testing and Inspection duties in accordance with relevant Australian and International Standards


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the timely processing flow of works within the testing and repair area as required
  • Carrying out inhouse inspections on Lifting Rigging and Height Safety Equipment and associated products
  • Perform inspections and repairs customers goods inline with company timelines and expectations
  • Competently operate the Vertical and Horizontal Test Machines, and Height Safety drop tower, chain cutters, plasma cutter and associated testing machinery & equipment
  • Perform tests in the field where required
  • Sign off on test certificates where approved to do so
  • Liaise with customers regarding testing and repair work
  • Ensure all testing equipment e.g., measuring equipment, machinery and load cells are always maintained in a clean and usable state
  • Undertake regular & required training internal, external (where applicable) and selfdelivered on Australian Standards and the company's LQM
  • Provide training & collaboration to new & existing staff within the company
  • Maintain required cleanliness of the work areas
  • Engage & perform safety walks when required
  • Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner including the wearing of appropriate PPE gear
  • Any other tasks requested of you by your Manager /Supervisor
  • Assist where required in other areas of the business such as stores, wire rope and chain assembly areas.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a similar role will be desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrates technical knowledge of techniques, skills, equipment, procedures, and materials.
  • Forklift Licence LF
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a fastpaced environment.
