The Opportunity
This role will be offered on a Permanent basis.

Accountabilities

Primary;

The health, safety and environment compliance and outcomes for assigned studies
Planning, execution and delivery of assigned prefeasibility/ feasability studies; objectively, efficiently and effectively exploring the business cases of potential investment opportunities
Development of comprehensive commercially relevant business cases evaluating investment opportunities
Development of budgets and schedules for assigned studies
Compliance with reporting and compliance to approval governance requirements

Key Relationships

Site operations & Maintenance team members
Site Discipline engineering
Executive level stakeholders, ie. VP Operations, VP Planning, VP Projects, COO and other Lead Team Members
Members of the Functions in particular Planning, Technical Stewardship, HSEC and Project teams
Members of the Corporate Sustainability team
Members of the operations Planning and Analysis and Improvement teams
Consultants and external service providers

About you

Attention to detail in developing components of studies or small studies
Outcome & delivery focus
Relevant degree or extensive demonstrated experience (Geoscience, Mining, Chemical/Metallurgy Engineering, Chemistry, or related)
5+ years of experience in heavy industry or relevant alternative experience
Experience in development of project scopes of work, budget, schedule, plans
Some exposure to operating facilities and mines or other major industrial undertakings
Some experience in working with diverse stakeholder groups
Ability to facilitate teamwork and promote collaboration within an organisation
Welldeveloped oral and written communication skills; able to communicate at all levels in the organisation

Desirable

10+ years of experience in consulting, extractive industry or manufacturing; particularly in the areas of strategic planning, development and reporting
Experience in the development and delivery of discipline engineering and project deliverables
Trained in Project management (qualification or on the job)
Risk management or other safety & assurance skills
Delivery responsibility for small to medium projects or studies
Financial analysis, valuation and business case assessment experience

Location
This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery in the South West of Western Australia.
