WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

About the Team


This role will report to our Spare Parts Manager and will work alongside three other Specialists, a Materials and Supply Officer and an Administrator.

You will be part of a supportive and good-humoured team who are based in offices in our Production building. This role will be based full time at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence in Redbank.


About the Role


The Spare Parts Interpreter role focuses on identifying and assisting in the supply of parts to RDA's customers and to our MRO providers.


  • As a Spare Parts Interpreter

, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

  • Provide a centralised parts interpretation function for our Field Service Representatives and other stakeholders;
  • Accepting and placing orders for spare parts and invoicing customers using SAP;
  • Maintaining and Updating the In Service Support Data Base (ISSDB);
  • Process and action Defence Web orders and quotation requests;
  • Assist in the storage and identification of non codifed parts;
  • Responsible for the issue of parts for painting to other Rheinmetall entities;
  • Maintaining as data in SAP, excel spreadsheets and other data bases;
  • Warehouse inventory and stock control, in conjunction with our 3PL (including yearly stock take);
  • Supporting the In-Service Support Manager to identify and address parts requirements; and
  • Liaison with customers, suppliers and third party logistics (3PL) companies on operational issues.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • Experience with heavy commercial or similar vehicles;
  • Sound experience in the supply of spare parts and use of inventory management systems;
  • Sufficient technical knowledge to be able to access and interpret engineering drawings and other resources to identify relevant part numbers for military vehicles and modules/mission systems (including tippers, tankers, stores units etc.);
  • Sound experience in the use of Microsoft Outlook and the Office suite of products;
  • Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
