About the role

As the Treasury Manager within the Finance team, you'll be reporting directly into the Group Treasurer and play a pivotal role in the management of the Groups Treasury activities.

You'll be supporting key strategic initiatives as they relate to the performance of the business and capital management in order achieve the Groups' financial metrics.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Effective liquidity management and produce reliable cashflow forecasts.
  • Assist with debt funding execution.
  • Develop and execute financial risk management strategies for mitigating foreign exchange and interest rate exposures within the Groups' Risk Management framework.
  • Undertake budgeting and financial reporting as it pertains to Treasury.
  • Manage treasury and banking systems.
  • Support the Energy and Treasury Reporting Analyst with energy risk management analysis and reporting.
  • Assist Corporate Finance and FP&A with periodic treasury budgeting and reporting activities such as hedge accounting effectiveness testing.
  • Manage and maintain relationships at all levels and across internal/external teams to gain confidence and buyin to meet business needs, objectives and requirements.
  • Be an active and supportive member of the Treasury Department and broader finance teams

About success in this role

Your deep understanding and practical experience in managing foreign exchange, interest rate risks and associated financial accounting impacts will determine success in this role.


Additionally, you'll bring to this role:

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or related disciplines
  • CA / CPA / CFA qualified highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar/same role within a Corporate Treasury or Financial Services Group.
  • Practical experience in developing and reporting on 'at risk' measures.
  • Proven financial modelling and technical skills in analysing large data sets and producing clear insights for senior management
  • Knowledge of various loan documentation advantageous
  • Ability to effectively manage BAU and project requirements.
  • Experience with TMS, Bloomberg/Reuters and domestic electricity and gas market systems, highly advantageous.
