Your responsibilities will include:

Canberra preferred, Melbourne considered**As the senior Information Assurance Analyst you primary undertaking is to deliver multiple high quality documents in support of the SouthPAN Certification and Accreditation effort, IAW ISM and DSPF requirements.


  • Primary responsibilities include:
  • Working closely with Space Info Assurance Lead and other C&A SMEs in developing and delivering C&A artefacts IAW Australian Defence and Whole of Government standards.
  • Assess and provide recommendations to mitigate System Security threats/risks, Ensure current knowledge of industry trends, current security issues and security technology and provide recommendations to manage risks and threats that could impact the business.
  • Illicit requirements from, and communicate findings to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Actively attend and contribute to customer meetings as required.
  • Provide relevant technical and domain experience and support to other LMA programs
  • Generate and maintain operational policies and procedures o Perform other team duties as required

About you:


To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Advanced knowledge of Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation (C&A) frameworks.
  • Extensive experience assessing risk inline with PSPF, ISM and DSPF requirements.
  • Advanced understanding of system engineering principles and methodology.
  • Advanced skills in writing accurate documentation to present security related information, in a clear and precise manner.
  • Advanced ability to proactively and meaningfully contribute to workshops and have the capability to present C&A information to a technical and nontechnical audience.

Qualifications - essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (computer science, software engineering, Information Systems etc.) from a recognised institution, and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry)

Qualification desirable

  • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)

Special Requirements:


  • Applicants are required to be eligible to obtain and maintain a CoA clearance at the NV1 level.
