Our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sourcing and Procurement Manager to join their team.

This exciting opportunity will involve spearheading the purchasing, contracting, and logistics operations for their first Solar PV Project in the Australian market.

With a long pipeline of projects under development for the years to come, this role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the renewable energy landscape in Australia.


Responsibilities:


  • Create, implement, and manage competitive bid processes for all projects Engineering, Environmental, Development, Design, Construction, Operations and Maintenance services required.
  • Lead contract negotiations with legal support from start to signing with the various project vendors and contractors.
  • Manage the execution of multiple contracts.
  • Lead the multicontracting strategy through identification of suppliers in key markets, organizing meetings, qualifying suppliers, developing associated RFP documents and contracts, creating risk assessment criteria and ultimately executing the strategy.
  • Compare and evaluate offers, including technical aspects, commercial and legal terms with the support of the technical and legal resources.
  • Develop contracting strategies and processes for tendering, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), reviewing and leveling vendor proposals, negotiating contracts that result in the best value possible, and reporting to the team in the central department, for the characteristics of the local market on varying aspects of project management, contracting strategy, and negotiation, when required.
  • Track the global and Australian renewable energy industry and monitor technological advances.
  • Manage vendor relationships and interface with suppliers during the RFP and negotiation processes
  • Maintain responsibility for bid evaluations, commercial and contractual negotiations, and contract approval prior to contract finalization
  • Manage the contract award process and presentation of award recommendations to management
  • Arrange, track and expedite the timely delivery of services, materials, and equipment to the site, considering site conditions.
  • Reporting to project teams and feeding data related to costs, delivery times and terms.
  • Manage approvals and streamline payments through the accounting department for all received invoices. Issue purchase orders
  • Maintain effective communication with all team members

Requirements:


  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Solar EPC contracting, with a strong understanding of the solar PV industry and its supply chain dynamics.
  • Proven track record in sourcing and procurement management, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Solid knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and logistics.
  • Strong negotiation and relationshipbuilding skills, with the ability to establish productive partnerships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant procurement software and tools.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
