The Coaching Lead is an active Centre Performance Coach.

The substantive portion of the Coaching Lead's time will be spent supporting an assigned cohort of Centre Directors to be empowered, informed, innovative, adaptive and accountable leaders.

Coaching Lead's will work with Centre Director's to understand their capability and experience and to support their growth and development.


This will be achieved through a 'coaching with accountability' approach where ownership of goals, action plans and outcomes is with the Centre Director, with the Centre Performance Coach supporting the Centre Director's continual improvement and progress.


The Coaching Lead requires a strong understanding of and commitment to a strengths-based approach to support the capability build of Centre Directors.

You will need a pragmatic, approachable and supportive interpersonal style, along with experience in reflective coaching methodologies and practices is highly desirable.


This role requires a sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF) along with experience in a people leadership role.


Your Impact:


Hold regular coaching sessions with an assigned cohort of Centre Directors, via a combination of virtual and in person sessions to focus on performance uplift and develop leadership capability.

Lead the development and embedding of a team culture aligned with Goodstart's Standards and Foundations.

Review workforce diversity initiatives aimed at improving and meeting the needs of the local community, pulling on state and national expert services as needed.

Participate in regular coach workshops an contribute to coach peer network.

Lead and support the Centre Performance Coaches and will be an integral part of the state leadership team in supporting centres.

Provide data, insights and work in collaboration with state leadership and assist in the recruitment / training of new Coaches.

Generate enthusiasm and commitment to organisational coaching practices with enable establishment of a coaching culture.

You'll bring to the table:

Hold a relevant Early Childhood qualification.
Possess strong business acumen across all domains of centre performance.
Have strong coaching experience.
A demonstrated ability to work across all capability levels and build collaborative relationships.
Experience working in centres and with Centre Directors is highly desirable.
