About the Role:

Do you have a background in the Emergency Services sector or state government with experience providing expert coordination and strategic support to senior organisational leaders?


We currently have a 12-month fixed term contract reporting to the Head of Executive Services where your days will see you
provide support to the CEO and Chief Officer (CO) across a wide range of policy, regulatory and corporate/government business matters.


The position supports the CEO, Chief Officer and Head of Executive Services by acting as the primary conduit between CFA, the Office of the Minister for Emergency Services, Emergency Management Victoria (EMV), and the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS).

This includes the analysis and consolidation of complex policy and advice, the coordination of responses to Victorian Government requests, parliamentary matters and correspondence, and the development of Ministerial briefs and a whole-of-organisation position on strategic policy matters as they arise.


About You:

To succeed in this important role, you will be tertiary qualified with experience working in a complex organisational environment. Strategic level experience providing advice and support on policy, business planning and project management is essential to this role.


Naturally you will demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills in the form of high-quality communication materials that convey ideas and information in a clear and engaging manner.


With advanced interpersonal skills and expertise in establishing positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, your key strengths will be your excellent problem solving and planning skills.
