About the role

We're transforming and you can join us in this critical leadership role to change how we deliver Our Transformation program will radically simplify our business, modernise our technology and digitise our customer journeys, supporting our people to continue to provide exceptional service and relevant solutions to meet customer needs.

You will be accountable for the delivery of portfolios of work across the enterprise, collaborating with the business, delivery teams and technology practices to ensure work is efficiently delivered to schedule, cost and quality.

Key to this role will be to build and embed a 'Community of Practice' across our program and project management professionals.

In this role, you will:

Establish and lead a high performing delivery management team, including program management, project management, delivery enablement and business analyst capability.

Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including setting up and overseeing project teams, identifying and resolving conflicts, managing costs, vendor management, risk and stakeholders and tracking and reporting progress.

Embed "best practice" project delivery frameworks, tooling set up and processes, to enable project delivery discipline and execution.

Ensure Portfolios Programs and Projects are set-up for success and delivering outcomes and business value in line with Bendigo's Transformation strategy.

Align the Group's investment slate for change with the Group's strategic objectives, including managing delivery for agreed annual funding envelopes, macro-sequencing, and project stage gating.

Chair key governance forums effectively

About you

You will have proven program delivery experience of large scale, complex transformation programs and be able to build high performing delivery teams from program initiation.

You will have significant experience presenting and liaising with executive and board level stakeholders and committees in gaining endorsement for business cases, benefits realisation, and outcome delivery.

To be successful in the role you will have:

Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies, including extensive project governance experience with the ability to appropriately size the amount of control and oversight required (financial, risk, issue and scope) proportionate to the scale and impact of the initiative.

The ability to promptly assess and respond suitably to the problems at hand, whether it be through encouraging solution innovation; rationalising the delivery approach; or sequencing deployment to optimise business outcomes.

Strong project Delivery Planning and implementation capabilities including Schedule Management skills and be able to take a hands-on approach.
Vendor Management engagement experience.

Experience building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels across an organisation.

Flexibility and able to quickly respond to continuously shifting priorities.
