The CommSec Data and Insights Centre of Excellence (COE) is a central Data and Analytics function under the Pace model that supports the delivery of Data and Analytics offerings and services at Pace.

The COE's mission is to provide trusted data, capabilities, and actionable insights in partnership with our stakeholders to drive customer experience, empower decision making and safeguard our data.


See yourself in our team
We are the Insights and Decision Science Chapter within the COE is responsible for CommSec's Insights and Analytics functions. We support the strategic decision-making process of the business by way of regular reporting, campaign marketing and remediation analytics.

We are also responsible for providing integrated online and offline behavioural insights, building analytics frameworks that help assess and drive customer engagement and building advanced analytics solutions and tools to help CommSec optimise its resources, improve its processes, and minimise risk.


In this role
As the Data Analytics Manager, you will complete data analysis for Compliance Incidents within CommSec.

You will use your high-level SQL and analytics skills to access our Data Warehouses and perform in-depth impact analysis using CommSec and Group data.

You will also give the business the data outputs they need for financial and data incidents.


Other responsibilities will include

  • Use CommSec and Group data and systems to complete complex data analysis that gives the business essential information to help with Compliance Incidents and Financial Crime
  • Perform detailed analysis of CommSec and Group data to provide the business with information to respond to regulatory requests within specific timeframes
  • Complete required project work stream outputs with quality assurance/approval for your area of responsibility or other additional requests for analytics
  • Collaborate with key business partners such as Risk and Product teams to understand business needs and methodology for incidents when completing analysis

We're interested in hearing from people who have

  • Demonstrated delivery experience as performing analytical work in high complexity environment
  • Advanced SQL Server experience and skills preferably Microsoft SQL Server and Teradata with demonstrated ability to work with large and complex data sets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Significant data, information management and analytics experience
  • Commercially astute, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Sound level of proficiency in key capabilities
  • IT SDLC processes, Agile delivery, written documentation/specification skills
