Our client is an international insurance organisation which has an opportunity for a Business Interruption Claims Specialist or Chartered Accountant experienced in forensic, audit or Insolvency or to join their National claims team.

You will become part of a technical team which enables customers understand, quantify, and recover from their financial loss.

This opportunity can be located in Sydney or Melbourne.


You will join a high performing a dedicated claims team which assesses client's financial losses, including business interruption and fidelity through detailed investigation and analysis of accounting records.

Your duties will include

  • Investigate and assess financial insurance losses.
  • Work with a portfolio of clients across a variety of industries providing them with advice and consultation services in respect to their losses.
  • Control claim costs and set loss reserves.
  • Deliver well researched strategic advice and forensic accounting analysis to clients.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while building relationships with new and potential clients.
Essential Requirements

  • Several years managing a portfolio of business interruption claims.
  • A relevant degree and CA or CPA qualification would be highly regarded.
  • Advanced Excel and report writing skills.
  • Ideally you will have strong experience in business interruption experience, fraud investigation and economic loss assessment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships, along with effective communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
