Full Time - Fixed Term 1 year position- SOR Location

In this role you will be a key member of the People and Culture office driving true HR business partnership throughout the organisation, assessing and anticipating HR related needs and acting as a change agent.
Duties will include:
- Building & fostering strong relationships across the organisation
- Enabling leaders to deal with complex issues affecting the management of staff
- Assisting the Senior People and Culture Partners in identifying, developing and implementing key projects
- Providing input to the development and implementation of appropriate policies and procedures
- Recommending, initiating and implementing strategies to enhance management capabilities
- Ensuring all initiatives are managed in accordance with existing governance frameworks
- Assist and support leaders on workforce planning practices
- Maintaining an awareness of the organisation's competitiveness with respect to remuneration and benefits
- Monitoring the effectiveness of HR advisory services and continually look for ways to improve
Essential Criteria:
- A tertiary qualification in the area of HRM or relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and or education and/or training
- Demonstrated substantial experience and success in HR Partnering roles
- Experience in interpreting and advising on complex employee relations matters, particularly performance management
- Indepth understanding of the legislative and industrial framework that applies to HR management issues
- Experience in interpreting and advising on complex employee relations matters, particularly performance management
- Excellent communication, consulting, coaching and negotiating skills
- Ability to work in a team, demonstrate initiative and manage multiple concurrent tasks which have conflicting priorities
- Proven ability to establish productive partnerships with line managers
- Demonstrated strong stakeholder management skills
- A strong commitment to service delivery within a HR Setting
- Satisfactory current Police Clearance
Desirable:
- Experience working in a Higher Educational facility
- Previous supervisory experience
