Division Responsibilities
The Information Technology Division (ITD) supports a wide range of business functions,

systems and lead a significant data capability that supports the Departments compliance

and regulation functions, policy development and program delivery. We are also responsible

for delivery of desktop services to over 6,000 staff and oversee the Department's protective

and cyber security services.

ITD is growing to support a significant reform program focused on modernising and

transforming Health and Aged Care services. We are looking to invest in passionate people

Branch Responsibilities
The Portfolio Management, Architecture & Commercial Services Branch provides strategic

coordination of Health Digital and ICT programs and projects to support the Department's

policy and reform agendas. This includes monitoring benefits realisation and managing an

assurance framework that drives quality, consistency, and value for money customer

focused outcomes.

The Branch drives IT financial sustainability practices, workforce planning, enterprise

architecture capability and leads, the strategic sourcing program, ICT procurement and

managing corporate financing and commercials.


Section Responsibilities
The Finance & Contract Management section is a multidisciplinary team delivering the ICT

commercial and financial management services for the division and portfolio agencies, to

enable the Department to deliver against the business objectives and program outcomes.

We focus on driving IT financial sustainability practices, identifying and implementing

process improvements and managing the commercial risks to maximise the return on

investments. The team provides the contract management services, including some

Corporate Service Vendor Management arrangements, resource augmentation Managed

Service arrangements including ITD's Trainee program.***
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the APS 5 ICT Contract Business Administration Officer are:

  • Assist to deliver concurrent contract and vendor management activities for ICT
related professional services, labour hire, hardware, software, and sourcing activities

in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)

  • Assist to provide accurate and timely advice on ICT related contract matters, in
accordance with the relevant legislation and the CPRs

  • Assist in preparing a range of correspondence, including corporate documentation,
department briefs, contracts and variations to contracts, and other procurement

related documentation

  • Review and/or draft a broad range of routine contract documentation
  • Assist to develop reference materials including templates, intranet pages, and
guidelines

  • Assist in monitoring the management of contract activities, as well as the
maintenance of records in the SAP Finance system and Electronic Document

Management System (TRIM)
