About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Facilities team as an Electrical Maintenance Leader.

In this role you'll be leading a team of around 40, providing technical, budget, and administrative management of our Facilities Electrical Assets across the network, adhering closely to the Technical Maintenance Plan.


You'll work with the main goal of ensuring that all MTM facilities activities are fit for purpose, using your expertise to ensure compliance and growth across all areas, whilst ensuring that our Zero Harm value is never compromised.


To lead your team to success you'll need to be personable and a natural at "people management", using your experience in electrical regulations to support internal and external stakeholders such as various departments, client groups, and contractors, all whilst driving a high performing team and building individual capability.


Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the Maintenance and Renewal activities for all MTM Low Voltage Electrical assets throughout the network.
  • Ensure all Maintenance and Renewal activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that all MTM Facilities are fit for purpose.
  • Help deliver all Facilities Electrical maintenance tasks as specified within the Technical Maintenance Plan, to the required standard and within the available budget
  • Drive business maintenance improvement to modernise the business for the future, through improved work practices, staffing and technology
  • Manage Facilities Electrical Maintenance contracts to deliver works including requisition, procurement, cost analysis in line with budget, performance, safety and quality in accordance with procedures
  • Ensure continuous improvement is achieved through managing fault reviews and investigations, leading and driving performance and accountability

About you:

  • A Grade Electrician mandatory.
  • Tertiary Management, Trade or Engineering qualification or equivalent.
  • An expert at leading and supervising a team, with great communication skills.
  • Extensive experience with Electrical Regulations, Electrical Maintenance and in Project/Construction Management.
  • Knowledgeable about providing service across multiple business areas in a large organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate for key outcomes, with great stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent at time management and prioritisation, with great organisational skills.
  • Sound knowledge of the OHS&E Act, Codes of Practice, AS3000:2000, Regulations, Safeworking Practices and Quality Assurance requirements as they relate to this position.
  • Able to deliver large cultural change through new work practices, staff accountability, responsibility and technology.
