Position Overview


This is a continuing position for a highly motivated WHS Consultant who has a strong background and interest in conducting WHS audits and support the ANU's WHS Management System.

The WHS Safety Consultant will work closely with areas and colleagues across the University community including WHS Committees, Subcommittees, Safety and Wellbeing Group team members and other external stakeholders


Working within a team of professionals in the Safety and Wellbeing Group (SWG), the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Consultant will provide audit services, procedural, work environment, risk assessment and advice to facilitate effective implementation of the University WHS Management System.


The position reports to the Sheren, Al-Obaidi, WHS Manager, Safety Systems and Audits, but will work closely with areas and colleagues across the University community and other external stakeholders.


To be successful in this role, you will have a high level of interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior managements, staff, students and external providers, in a culturally diverse environment.

In addition, you will require proven organisational skills, excellent attention-to-detail, the ability to prioritise own workload and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
