About the role
Our Corridor Maintenance Outer North team currently have a 6mth fixed term vacancy for a Facilities Maintainer.

Based out of Sunshine, you will work as part of a team to conduct corridor vegetation control and station precinct grounds maintenance as well as the installation, maintenance, repair and construction of Queensland Rail Facilities.


Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include

  • Be present for daily briefings including important safety information
  • Use of a work tablets to review and complete work orders
  • Complete mowing, hedging, whipper snipping and various other vegetation control management
  • Perform fencing repairs, graffiti cleaning and waste removal when required
  • Travel between sites across North Brisbane

About you:


  • Previous experience of conducting vegetation control including the use of whippersnippers, mowers, hedger and chainsaws
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
