Rio Tinto Iron Ore's Maintenance Integration team is looking to recruit a
Specialist Integration to take a lead role in integrating mine and port maintenance requirements.

This position has been newly created to provide analytics structure to identify opportune maintenance in the scheduling window and provide business improvement capability within the wider Integrated Operations Scheduling team.

Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Integration, accountabilities for the position will include

  • Identifying opportunities for additional shut maintenance around operational constraints, impact assess nonaligned shuts, advise recommendations that have the best for business outcomes
  • High level of stakeholder engagement across the entire RTIO Supply Chain
  • Mines, Rail, Port & Integrated Operations, you will chair meetings, coach, support, and influence stakeholders
  • Reconciling learning's from past shuts, challenge current assumptions on maintenance alignment, and develop strategies to minimise impact or utilise opportunity across the system
  • Looking ahead optimising the value chain through data analysis to provide opportune maintenance activities to ensure alignment to required mine, rail & port capacities
  • Supporting the Integrated Operations Scheduling (IOS) team in problem solving and continuous improvement activities, championing speciality projects or programs of crossfunctional projects
  • Providing data driven analytics to understand and exploit system bottlenecks


This permanent position will be based in Rio Tinto's Operations Centre located near the Perth Airport working Monday to Friday with flexible working arrangements and will require ad hoc site travel.


What you'll bring


You will have a tertiary qualification in Science, Technology, Maths or Commerce, have proven data driven improvement exposure and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of value drivers across a large organisation value/supply chain.

The complexity of the role will require acute problem-solving capability with agility in change management.

A solid commercial acumen will be essential with a keen sense of appreciation of the high commercial impact of key decision-making.
