Principal Analyst - Justice Impact Assessment

  • 1 X Temporary position is available, Full time until Feb 202 Location: Parramatta Flexible/hybrid work option
  • Salary $139,787 $161,663+ Super and annual leave loading (Clerk Grade 11/12)

Your role

What you'll do

  • Managing the provision of timely analysis and advice to a range of internal clients, including managing competing priorities that arise and providing guidance and leadership to junior team members.
  • Engaging with a broad range of stakeholders across the justice system and beyond to analyse identify data sources, build assumptions, and model the impact of alternative scenarios.
  • Contributing to the broader goals of the Branch, Division, Department and Cluster, including representing the branch in internal and external forums, as required.

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Extensive experience providing quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform executive/government decision-makers, including assisting them to weigh up options and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders and prepare summary reports, technical documents, and briefs.
  • Advanced project management skills, including a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and provide timely, accurate and fitforpurpose analysis.
  • Experience providing technical guidance and leadership to junior staff.
  • A high degree of competency in data analysis and modelling, as well as experience in working with large data sets.
