Our government client is seeking a Works Assistant for road infrastructure projects in the Waratah area.

This role performs the function of a Quality Assurance Representative (Project Quality Representative), Asset Inspector (Network Inspections) or Contact Surveillance Representative (Surveillance of Contracts).

The role also supports works delivery and may be required to carry out duties of a Road Worker.


The main duties for the role include:

  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of management systems to measure the level of implementation and to identify opportunities for continual improvement.
  • Review, maintain, update and company policies and procedures as required that comply with QA, WHS and Environmental management systems.
  • Report and identify workplace hazards and report them accordingly.
  • Assist in training business unit and project staff in the tools and methods of management system policies, procedures and forms.
  • Perform a variety physical tasks using hand and power tools, and machines either as an individual or as part of a team.

To be successful you will require:

  • Quality Assurance experience
  • White Card
  • MS Office experience (focus on Excel)
  • Previous experience in civil construction or similar
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Workers on Foot or willing to get
  • Ability to work as part of a team
This assignment will be in place until February 2024 but has the potential to be extended.
