Description

A full time, permanent opportunity has arisen for a Head of Performance & Growth to join our Bupa Health Insurance team.

This is a hybrid role, and you are free to work from home or our Melbourne or Sydney CBD office locations.


Reporting to the General Manager, Customer Strategy & Go To Market you will be responsible for monitoring performance of all acquisition and retention offers and the development and implementation of performance strategies intended to achieve Domestic Retail targets, which encompasses Quarterly Playbook development, prioritization and planning of growth-related activities, leadership of Workstream Leads and associated initiatives for Acquisition and Reward and Retain and the Retention Revolution Mission.


What will your day look like:

  • Ensure market leading growth strategies are developed, endorsed, and executed to achieve and exceed all performance goals, while also delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving locked on loyalty.
  • Leverage and communicate deep market knowledge and understanding of commercial drivers to drive activity to achieve performance targets
  • Ensure planned activities in market meet the changing market, including competitor, regulatory and market developments, and customer demands.
  • Ensure analysis and recommendations are timely, accurate, actionable and deliver cohesion between commercial insights and operational plans
  • Lead the weekly performance forum consisting of cross functional representatives to discuss weekly performance and prioritise activity required to meet performance targets.
  • Drive a culture of high performance to ensure we are focused on the right metrics to deliver our aspiration for future growth
  • Positively challenge the Workstream and delivery systems to focus on continuous improvement, to unlock more efficient value delivery at speed; contribute to creating an environment of continuous learning, a safe place for people to fail fast and learn.
  • Attend relevant Delivery Forums and actively resolve issues with Delivery Teams
  • Champion innovation, customer centricity and change throughout the business to increase Bupa's capacity and capability to accelerate change for competitive advantage

What do I need?

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, strategy, marketing or related disciplines
  • Experience in Australian healthcare legislative and regulatory environment
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional growth and performance in a large scale, regulated organisation.
  • Passion for customer and unrelating pursuit of exceptional customer experiences is essential
  • Strong written and presentation skills and the ability to convert data into insight and prepare compelling, persuasive reports and presentations
  • You will possess strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual problemsolving skills and experience translating insight into strategy, action and outcomes as well as structured thinking and strong commercial acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly (spoken and written) and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively influence a diverse range of stakeholders including senior leaders, channel owners, key contributors and customer facing team leaders.
  • Experience in successfully partnering across functions in the development and implementation of strategies to deliver commercial outcomes within complex, matrix organisations
  • Ability to operate on strategy and big picture, but also able to get into the detail on the operational side of the role
  • Ability to work across simultaneous assignments efficiently, accurately and at pace
