Our client is seeking to engage an Assistant Director - Procurement on a non-ongoing contract for 6 months with potential extension.

S26 transfers will also be considered.


What will you do?

  • Provide specialist procurement and contract management advice to business areas in line with legislative requirements;
  • Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders such as Divisions, AusTender Helpdesk, and other Commonwealth agencies;
  • Monitor and respond to helpdesk enquiries;
  • Review and publish procurement and approach to market documentation in line with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (as applicable), and other legislative requirements;
  • Coordinate statutory procurement related reporting;
  • Undertake AusTender publishing and AusTender upkeep in relation to panels and other administrative requirements; and
  • Quality assurance of procurement registrations through the Department's Financial Management Information System.

Who are we looking for?

  • Strong working knowledge of the Financial Framework, including the Public Governance, Performance and
  • Accountability Act, Commonwealth Procurement Rules, and associated policies and guidance;
  • Ability to proactively engage with stakeholders to provide accurate and timely advice on procurement and
- contract management enquiries;

  • Ability to analyse procurement and contract management issues and effectively communicate advice to others in a way which is persuasive and appropriate to the audience;
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and changing timeframes in a fast paced, dynamic environment;
  • A working knowledge of SAP is desirable; and
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships are Essential
