About You

The Opportunity

The Manager is accountable for managing high quality and outcome-focussed programs and services for vulnerable families, children and young people with the Department for Child Protection, South Australia.

This role requires strong leadership to support the development and growth of the workforce.

Reporting to the Regional Director, the Manager will:

Plan, develop, implement and evaluate services to meet the needs of the clients and the community, including Aboriginal communities.
Provide leadership and direction of critical and complex case management issues involving children with high and complex needs.
Ensure services are culturallyresponsive and meet the needs of Aboriginal children, families and communities.
Plan and manage staff workload priorities and workload management in relation to addressing child protection concerns.
Engage and work in collaboration with other government agencies and the nongovernment sector.
Contribute to strategic leadership and business planning across the Department for Child Protection.

About You

The Department for Child Protection is seeking an innovative leader with a background in community services, especially managing programs for vulnerable and at-risk children, young people and families.

You will bring a track record of driving change, providing strategic and transformational leadership and direction.
