Water Management Maintenance Tech Experienced

- **Fortescue's Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.


Roster:

7D7R - FIFO ex Perth


Reporting to the Chichester Water Management supervisor, you will be responsible for all aspects of dewatering and water services for operational mining.

You will be joining a team of committed people who share a vision of being highly efficient, while maintaining the highest level of safety in a large-scale dewatering environment.


Key accountabilities will include:


  • Demonstrate strong Fortescue values
  • Comply with FMG safety procedures
  • Inpit sump pump installation and development
  • Machinery operation for daily tasks (I.T Loaders, Franna cranes, Light and Medium rigid trucks)
  • Poly welding/fabrication, bore installations and removals, diesel pump set up/relocations
  • Verification, Isolation and purging of pipelines for upcoming projects
  • Water monitoring and reporting for environmental compliance
  • Chainsaw operation for HDPE piping
  • Operating in autonomous open pit mining operation
  • Operation of large scale water distribution system and managing pond levels.
  • Identify faults with water network and create SAP notifications to the respective engineering and maintenance discipline

Qualifications and skills required:


  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience in water services operations including bore fields, mine plans, equipment isolations and water compliance requirements
  • Experience in HDPE piping projects
  • High Risk Qualifications DG CN LF desired
  • Chainsaw qualification
  • Previous experience/tickets for It Loader and similar equipment
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft office, SAP and BMS (desired)
