Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, the Cyber Security Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing security infrastructure and operations across the Healius organisation.
This role entails leading cross-matrix teams of skilled professionals, developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies, and ensuring the protection of the organisation's information systems and data assets.
The Cyber Security Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding the organisation against cyber threats, maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of security awareness.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of cyber security professionals, fostering a collaborative and highperformance work environment
- Maintain and implement a comprehensive cyber security strategy aligned with the organisation's goals and risk tolerance.
- Identify potential security vulnerabilities and develop proactive measures to mitigate risks.
- Manage the daytoday operations of the cyber security team, including incident response, threat monitoring, and vulnerability management.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security controls, technologies, and tools.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, laws, and standards pertaining to cyber security.
- Collaborate with internal audit and legal teams to address compliance issues and implement necessary controls.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on security best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
About you:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in cyber security, including experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, practices, technologies, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, NIST, SOCI, ISO27001).
- Proven experience in developing and implementing security strategies and managing security operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are highly desirable.
