In this key contributor, senior leadership role of
Risk In Change - Technology CoE Lead, aligned to ING's organisational strategy, you'll provide leadership to a team of Senior Tech Risk in Change Advisors.

The role requires senior level experience in information technology managing risk in change deliverables across a large portfolio of work.


As our
Risk In Change - Technology CoE Lead, you'll be accountable for a CoE capability (define & implement) for all of ING Australia for the inception, execution and embedding of Technology Risk in Change across the organisation to effectively support Technology's change and transformation initiatives.

You'll oversee all technology risk in change (delivered technology risk) across Technology's complex strategic programs, and forecast risk resource demand to effectively support the business at pace, as the bank transforms in pursuit of its growth strategy.


The role will report to the Head of Technology Risk & Control and will be accountable for ensuring all risk in change deliverables are executed in a consistent and timely manner across all strategic programs and projects, ensuring roles and responsibilities are defined and understood, coordinating the uplift in the Delivery Framework as required.

What you'll do

  • Establish a Technology Risk in Change Centre of Excellence for ING Australia, setting the strategic direction of the function.
  • Define and implement tech risk in change governance framework, uplifting IBAL delivery framework.
  • Lead the CoE function to Technology ensuring resourcing is adequately catered to meet the demands of strategic programs and projects in Technology.
  • Partner with the Transformation Office to ensure roles, responsibilities and risk in change artefacts are well defined in the Delivery Framework; working closely to oversee the change portfolio for prioritisation and planning risk activity on the horizon.
  • Build a collective mindset that aspires to making a onecompany culture, that wants to protect customer and company assets using meaningful and purposeful risk processes and tools.
  • Manage the staff augmentation model, to flex resources up and down based on demand, transitioning to permanent capability over time; managing a team of risk professionals driving a highperformance culture to sustain high job satisfaction and engagement.
  • Balance Global requirements against Local environment (including regulatory considerations) in risk activities and processes.

What we're looking for

  • Ability to acquire technical understanding the IT environment, including its architectural direction in context of risk management, in order to be able, provide relevant risk advice. IT Control environment
  • Understanding of relevant technologies, and able to remain current with knowledge of

Cloud Computing:
Microsoft Azure.

  • A minimum of 10+ years Technology Risk related experience, with at least 2 years in an equivalent role and seniority.
  • Preferably five or more years of experience in related, industryleading, large, crossfunctional teams and/or enterprisewide programs, influencing seniorlevel management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.
  • Demonstrated experience in (Non-Financial) Risk strategic planning, organization design and development, including harnessing of automation for Tech Risk/Security and Cloud processes.
  • Exceptional People leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Banking and relevant External Regulations, processes, procedures and systems (nice to have).
