Morale Care is actively recruiting for Specialised Support Workers/ Sports Enthusiast Workers in LALOR PARK


Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Support Worker to join our team and provide ongoing support to a client in Lalor Park.

The support you will provide to someone with complex/behaviour support needs varies for each person. Support needs and goals are directed by the person or their informal supports. Implement safe and effective infection control, identify risk and work within the parameters of your role.

They may include and not limited to

  • Transport to appointments
  • Shopping
  • Personal care
  • Reading and implementing complex support plans
  • Support with social and community connections
  • Requirements for complex support such as managing crisis and assisting clients to access their professional networks.
  • Have a genuine passion for sports and enjoy incorporating physical activity into your client's routine.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
  • Are a reliable and dedicated individual with a positive and empathetic attitude.

Hours/Days of Work
Morale Care promotes flexibility in agreement with the individual or family you are working with. Hours and days of work will vary and will be dependent on what the client requires.


Skills Required:

Experienced Support Worker with a strong background in sports. Minimum
2 years.

Ability and confidence to follow specialised support plans that meet the support requirements of clients.

  • Solid understanding of high intensity supports.
  • Implement safe and effective ways to follow the Behaviour Support plan for each client.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to report and identify any support concerns or additional risks.
  • Confidence and comfortable working with limited supervision.
  • Understanding of the disability sector, NDIS. Ability to use various software's for reporting.
  • Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility and passion.


If you have experience in mental health, working with people having challenging behaviours, clients needing 247/ supervision and assistance, we would love to hear from you and have you on board.

Pay:
$ $35.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 20 per week

  • National Police Certificate (required)
  • Driver Licence (required)
