The Information Technology team at Swinburne University of Technology are looking for a Data Analyst to join their team


The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in analysing and interpreting data to support decision-making processes, optimize operational efficiency, and create valuable data products within the university.


About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in an educational or research environment
  • Experience with and knowledge of modern lakehouse architectures
  • Experience in distributed cloudbased data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis and data modelling.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation
  • Experience with any ETL tool such as Matillion, Fivetran, DBT, etc.
  • Experience with Data Visualization tool such as PowerBI and Tableau.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field with at least 4 years subsequent experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training
  • Relevant data platform certifications (e.g. Snowflake Certification)
