  • Collate and evaluate data to provide insights and recommendations to support the University's fundraising and alumni programs

Be challenged and imagine with us:

As Advancement Data Insights Officer, you will be responsible for accurately collating and assessing data to highlight trends, provide insights, help users interpret data and offer recommendations for alumni and philanthropic stakeholder engagement and fundraising initiatives.


In this role you will:

  • Develop and maintain a suite of CRM reports and dashboards to measure and support alumni and fundraising programs against institutional KPIs.
  • Collate data from a variety of sources to enable evidencebased decision making and to demonstrate the impact of fundraising programs and campaigns.
  • Undertake sector benchmarking exercises and analyse benchmarking report findings to identify industry trends and opportunities.
  • This full time, fixed term position is a parental leave cover until April 2025._

  • Experience with data analytics, reporting, and providing evidencebased recommendations in a large, complex environment.
  • The ability to understand the realworld impact of data and translate findings into an understandable format for end users.
  • Strong organisational and attention to detail skills, and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.

What we offer:

The remuneration for this position is from $82,707 to $91, % superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

The Office of Alumni and Philanthropy (OAP) sits within the Global Engagement and Partnerships Division and leads the implementation of the University of Newcastle's Advancement Strategy.

The Advancement Operations team collaborates across the OAP, Colleges, and Divisions to deliver advancement leadership, advice, and support with relation to philanthropic gift acceptance, governance and implementation; alumni and donor reporting, advancement information management and system improvement; and the delivery of business operations, processes, planning and reporting for the work led through the OAP.
