The Role:
As your role as Procurement Advisor you will primarily be focused on undertaking procurement and contract activities
This will include:
- Providing procurement advice and support to the business to promote and provide best practice procurement
- Supporting the Principal Procurement Advisor in meeting procurement deliverables
- Building and maintaining effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Undertaking research, spend, and market analysis to secure value for money opportunities
- Developing market engagement strategies and negotiating directly with key internal and external stakeholders during the procurement process to achieve the best value for money outcomes
- Contributing to cost reduction opportunities through process improvement, innovation and aggregation of suppliers through establishment of panels and purchasing volume where possible
- Supporting maintenance of procurement and contracts systems and registers
- Supporting SAP procurement system with workflows as required.
You will bring:
- Experience as a procurement advisor/officer or similar role
- Proficient end to end procurement skills
- Experience in precontract sourcing activities and contract formation
- Experience in the establishment of panel arrangement and management (desirable)
- Data analytics (desirable)
- Understanding of contract terms and formation or the ability to learn
- A keenness to learn and be a key member of a high performing procurement team
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
