Our Opportunity


Weldlok Tasmania are looking for a solutions-focused Customer Service Officer who will be responsible for engaging with customers and resolving emerging problems.

This position is a full-time opportunity, based in Derwent Park, TAS.

Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all customers understand the current product and service offering and responding to technical customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure that all quotes are prequalified and followed up, with feedback reported via the appropriate channels.
  • Proactively prepare and analyse reports on new business development opportunities.
  • Work closely with the internal sales teams to allocate major projects, ensure strong communication is maintained between departments and to be aware of customer needs and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to process improvement by identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions.

The Right Person
This position is ideal for an experienced Customer Service professional with a sound understanding of manufacturing/steel industry


You will also have:

  • Successful completion of School Certificate or equivalent. Trade Qualification would be advantageous.
  • 35 years' experience in a customer service position, ideally in a manufacturing or trade environment.
  • Strong communication and proven ability to build lasting relationships with stakeholders.
  • Exposure to interpreting engineering drawings or the willingness to learn would also be highly advantageous.
