The opportunity
Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for multiple Privacy Officer's to join the Legal Services Branch in developing and delivering practical and solution focused advice across a broad spectrum of corporate, commercial, administrative, and government legal issues to support business areas

12-month initial Labour Hire contracts with the opportunity to extend.

APS5 level role offering an hourly rate of $ Super, these positions will be based out of Richmond or Geelong.

This is a hybrid position, offering 2 days working from home, with the remaining 3 on site. 37.5-hour work weeks, with 8-hour days expected.


About the role:


The APS5 Privacy Officer is a
team membership position and where required, will perform work that involves team leadership responsibilities requiring the setting of priorities and allocating work to other lower-level team members within a team.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Assisting with the coordination of Agency responses in relation to Privacy related complaints and incidents
  • Assisting in preparing and contributing to a range of briefing materials for Ministers, Board papers, media releases, reports to Parliamentary committees, and correspondence
  • Assisting in the administrative management of new systems, processes and practical tools including training to support Privacy handling and awareness.
  • Assisting in the preparation of communication material to enhance Agency awareness of Privacy
  • Assisting in the preparation of Privacy reporting for management and executive, and feedback relating to identified trends

About you
-
Australian citizenship is a requirement to be eligible for this position:

  • Strong clerical, administrative and operational tasks, preparing and contributing to a range of briefing materials for Ministers, Board papers
  • Background within legal services, Federal Government or Disability highly regarded
