Galserv has provided Hot-Dip Galvanising services in Sydney since 1963 and is currently one of the largest Hot-Dip Galvanisers in Australia and a founding member of the Galvanizers Association of Australia.


Weldlok has been designing and suppling grating, handrailing and steel flooring to the infrastructure, civil, mining and fabrication industries for over 60 years.


Our Opportunity


NEPEAN Building and Infrastructure are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to develop and execute the continuous improvement cycle while coordinating a small team.

The Maintenance Manager also ensures all WH&S, Quality Assurance and Environmental Management Systems are maintained. This position will operate across our Galserv and Weldlok businesses, both located in Yagoona, NSW.

Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Offering expert advice to develop risk assessments, standard operations procedures, work method statements and position descriptions.
  • Drive the planned preventative maintenance strategy for all plant and equipment.
  • Various project management tasks including the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment, preparing 'scope of works' and overseeing a combination of electrical, mechanical, and civil site upgrades.
  • Establish strong working relationships with relevant department managers to ensure full understanding of maintenance requirements and priorities.
  • Delegate tasks, deliver training and uphold quality standards within the maintenance team.

The Right Person

  • Tertiary and/or Trade qualifications in related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical or Civil).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within a production environment, ideally in Steel or Manufacturing industries.
  • Proven experience managing a maintenance team, ideally multidiscipline teams.
  • Experience developing, implementing and executing preventative maintenance programs is essential.
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems and experience creating maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings in both electrical and manual formats.
