The Role
The Network and Security Officer is responsible for the acquisition, maintenance, operation, usage, accessibility, and recovery of the NSW Ombudsman's ICT systems.
You'll act to ensure the system supports business activities & provide technical support & leadership on products, systems, and configuration.
In addition, you'll be tasked with monitoring, analysing & reporting on systems performance, identifying business risks and opportunities to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness.
About you
- You have demonstrated experience in current knowledge and understanding of the computer industry, networking theory, LAN, WAN internet technologies, Microsoft server and desktop operating system.
- You have demonstrated experience in the configuration and maintenance of Microsoft 365 and its security products, Microsoft onpremise AD, Microsoft windows server 2012/2016/2019, Aruba wireless network, network monitoring tool, SIEM, vulnerability scan tool, firewalls, Cisco switches and communications equipment.
- You have demonstrated experience in implementing and managing VM Ware ESX vSphere virtualisation platforms and Veeam backup and DR solution.
- You'll be a motivated selfstarter who prides themselves on keeping abreast of emerging technologies.
