As the postdoctoral Fellow - Nanoparticle Synthesis/Surface Chemistry you will be based at Swinburne University of Technology, working closely with a number of National and International collaborators designing new routes to synthesis and surface modify novel nanoparticles that are used to fabricate multi-dimensional materials through self-assembly.


About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Experience with for example nanoparticle synthesis, thin films, self-assembly, surface chemistry, bioconjugation techniques
  • Experience in chemical analysis and materials characterisation techniques, such as SEM, TEM, EDS, DLS, XPS, XRD, AFM, Raman, FTIR, ToF-SIMS
  • Demonstrated success in contributing to highimpact research, and capacity to conduct highquality research in terms of publications in internationally recognised peerreviewed leading journals
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including preparation of progress and technical reports

Qualifications

  • PhD degree in materials science, chemistry, physical chemistry
