About the Branch:


The Agile Delivery Section (ADS) is responsible for the design, development and delivery of digital solutions for the Clean Energy Regulator.

ADS delivers high quality, timely solutions to meet user's needs.

Working under the Scaled Agile Framework for enterprises (SAFe), through multiple Agile Release Trains (ART), comprises of about 15 multi-Disciplinary teams and over 120 staff.


The ADS section:

  • Prioritises, builds and delivers digital solutions,
  • Sets the agile framework and ways of working for multidisciplinary teams,
  • Manages agile ceremonies for the planning, prioritisation and playback of work, including Program Increment and sprint planning, retrospectives, showcases,
  • Develops and promotes product vision to achieve agency objectives, including creation and maintenance of program and business as usual roadmaps,
  • Ensures alignment and compliance with digital standards and processes, including privacy, security and accessibility standards and
  • Communicates with the agency on successes, learnings and potential for innovation in digital delivery.

Role responsibilities and duties:

The ADS manages two streams of work - major change initiatives and also a business as usual function.

This role covers oversight of the business as usual teams, known as the Digital Roadmap Agile Release Train (DR ART).

The DR ART consists of 3 to 4 Multi-Disciplinary Teams.

These teams support the agencies business systems by providing incident resolution and minor enhancements (Product Features) as prioritised by the System Owners Reference Group governance body and DR ART Product Manager.


Duties for the position include:

  • Undertake event management administrative tasks for the section that includes, but is not limited to:
  • Manage logistics for major Agile Delivery Section events such as Program Increment (PI) planning, showcases, retrospectives and networking events

Tasks include:

  • Planning events, booking rooms, inviting stakeholders etc,
  • Support virtual Communities of Practice (CoPs), ensuring events are established, wiki pages maintained, guest speakers are coordinated and CoPs are running smoothly,
  • Provide administrative support to a large section (over 120 staff including APS and contractors),
  • Complete all onboarding and offboarding tasks including completion and submission of forms, record keeping and liaison with security, HR teams and vendors,
  • Support staff management, including compliance checks for CER policies and processes (e.g., Working from Home form completion, Conflict of Interest declarations etc.),
  • Maintain staff leave calendar (tracking long term leave plans, feeding into workforce planning),
  • Assist in the development of news articles, monthly branch newsletter and adhoc online communication campaigns (via Microsoft Teams, Yammer etc),
  • Assist teams with records management of artefacts to support transition to BusinessasUsual delivery team &
  • Participate in section activities and planning, including providing administrative support as required.

Qualifications/experience:


  • Excellent attention to detail,
  • Excellent Stakeholder engagement skills,
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft office suite (word, excel, PowerPoint, etc) to undertake administrative tasks effectively,
  • Good written and verbal communication skills,
  • Ability to manage competing priorities,
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and fast paced environment and
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry certifications in information technology is desirable but not necessary.
