About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised Payroll/Account Officer reporting to the CFO.

This position will support the Corporate Accountant and Supervisors maintaining and optimising financial data ensuring up to date information is always available along with the following:


  • Ensuring all payroll transactions (up to 400 staff), including superannuation, are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Collecting, calculating, and entering data to update payroll information
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies
  • Assist in preparing the monthly financial package as required
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations and receipt of payments
  • Reconcile the main bank account daily
  • Prepare deposits for banking
  • Petty cash management
  • Check and process freight invoices
  • Set up payments for local and foreign currency suppliers
  • Assist with purchase orders as required
Key Competencies

  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting processes and procedures preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Resultoriented to ensure delivery of appropriate results in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion.
  • Business acumen to elicit trust and credibility with all levels of the organisation.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, pivot tables & V lookups, and other financially related and proprietary software.
  • Teamwork/collaboration expertise with significant experience in projectoriented activities.
  • Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively accomplish goals.
  • Ability to communicate cost and financial information to all levels across the business.

Desired Skills and Experience:


About you

  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with no work restrictions only
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred but not essential
  • 3 + years' experience of reconciliations accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
  • ERP systems software mid to large ERP system exposure
  • Solution focussed, positive attitude and adaptable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, whilst ensuring confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills
  • Attention to detail strong work ethic and solution orientated
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
